I was mowing and feeling lazy. These are pictures of simple bull thistles growing everywhere. I just sat down low and took a different look at them up close.   I took pictures of a couple of different weeds also. Beats mowing any day... Weeds in

The bull thistle is considered an invasive obnoxious weed in a lot of places. Pretty, but useless as a plant. Yep - but when it's pushing 100 degrees outside, I'd rather sit down and take some pictures of them and drink a cold beer..... :-)

Yep - but when it's pushing 100 degrees outside, I'd rather sit down and take some pictures of them and drink a cold beer..... :-) Every year there is a group in Ruidoso NM that goes around killing the musk thistles. The next year there are just about as many, you can never kill them all.
