Just a thought here, and we have somewhat picked at this some in the past. There are some guides, outfitters and just good ole landowners on this Forum. I have always been big into having the THF guys and gals, do hunts together as a Forum family. I have tried to schedule some stuff at differnet places, but they have gone a bust, but some we have managed to do, and had a great time. This stuff wouldn't have to be a high price deal, something someone could afford and meet new people. For instance hogs, javis, dove, does, varmints ect. I always seem to get a great response, then everyone just backs out. In all honesty, would there be interest in these types hunts???? This would be agreat time to put faces with names on here. Vote below and chime in on other ideas.

I went on the THF duck hunt with Cory last year and had a great time and am planning on going on the THF Duck/goose/pheasant hunt this year. Great way to meet some really nice people and have some good hunting.

I would love to get back up to the Panhandle for some goose, sandhill crane and pheasant hunting.

No interest in going hog hunting. But a quail hunt would sound really good.

From my end, I know I could offer better deals, way below the web site price on Turkey and Javis. I would be game for other places, we have been to Uvalde for rams, TT for goats, Cornhuskers for hogs ect. We really need to make this one work. I know Jeff Whitson has varmins, hogs, tturkey ect as well as bayourat and maggie. I know we are going to hit deer season hard and heavy, but lets try and plan something right after in the cool months, or for the duck, goose, pheasant guys, get one going, now. Some things interest me more then others, as they will also you, nothing wrong with that I know we have talked about different ranches Dos Plumas ect. We could run a bowhunt only ect. The choices are endless.

If I weren't so far away I would jump on this in a moments notice. The cost of gas, travel time, & time off from work is alittle more than I can afford at present.

I would be in on one of the places that is no kill no pay. That way, I could come meet everyone, enjoy some good stories (lying), and get out cheap. I can fill my freezer at my own places, so I would probably not shoot anything.

Im in as long as it stays in a reasonable price range. I dont care weather its hog, ducks, geese, deer, or what ever I like to kill em all.

You know I'll be there, Roy. Anyone that wants to cut costs...I'll be driving to wherever from DFW and have room for 3 more. At least, I THINK I do...have you seen the post "How Big a Boy Are Ya?" in open discussion?

I got some of those, but no dogs
I got a friend up near Hico that has a great place to dove and quail hunt. Last time I was up there he had a bunch of ducks too. They got the dogs for it as well. I don't know his current prices though.
Seems like you guys should be able to put a hog hunt together somewhere. Only place I have been to hog hunt with a large group was the Escondido down in Freer. Price was pretty reasonable but that is one heck of a drive from DFW.

I hear a lot of "as long as it doesn't cost me an arm and a leg", or "as long as it's cheap", or similar things. Let's here some prices. What are you guys willing to spend on the various hunts discussed? I rep for about 20 ranches and 3 outfitters and do a bit of outfitting myself. I might be able to work something out, but I must have a fairly solid idea of what we're talking about before I approach them.
BTW. I know the guy who is hosting the THF goose/duck/pheasant hunt, and if you didn't get in on that, you are really going to be sorry that you missed out. He is running that hunt at cost or below, and the hunting in that area is generally real good. Like anywhere you're dealing with migratory birds, it can suck at times, but for the most part, you can expect some great, in your face, decoyed bird action.

Ok enough , put your money where your mouth is, as they say. Jeff, with Predator1outdoors has a deal, on hogs. Here it is. 4 hogs per person, with a SUPER nice lodge that Jeff has. It will be around feeders, and Jeff has numerous properties set up. This will be a FEBUARY hunt!!! after the deer season. This is in the Menard Tx area. If you have seen Jeffs' game pics, you have seen the piggies at the feeders, he has a bunch. Limit per hunter is 4 hogs. The price with lodging, get this CHEAP, $200.00 per person with lodging and friday, saturday and sunday hunting!!! We provied our own meals and drinks. I don't think one can find a better deal then this, IMHO. Come on folks we have talked long enough, 6 hunters on this one. I am in!!! So now 5 for this hunt!! Deposits need to be sent to Jeff, and when you sign up he will give you the info. $100.00 dollar, non-refunable deposit to hold you spot. Any questions please ask Predator1 hog hunt, Febuary 09 1)7mag
