I bought a new 11-87, and when i was breaking it in, I should a box of 3 inch shells through it. Then i went to my 2 3/4 target loads, but some wouldnt eject. Any ideas on what could be causing that, and how to fix it

When I first bought my 11-87, I had some trouble with 2 3/4" shells the first time I took it out. The problem was over lubrication. I took it home. Cleaned it out completely, and then just wiped it with an oily rag. Never had any trouble since cycling 2 3/4" dove loads to heavy 3" duck loads. I think it went about 800 rounds before I cleaned it again.

If it's one of the new Sportsman 11-87s, my brother had one and experienced the same thing you have. We were shooting clays with some light target loads and his wouldn't cycle them. Anything that was pretty stout was fine, but light loads were a no-go. I also have a 11-87 premier (roughly 11 years old) and mine cycled them no problem. I love my old 11-87, but I wouldn't buy one of the new ones.

I had the same problem with and 11-87 Super Mag which can handle the 3.5's Probably just due to the extra spring required for the heavier loads.

Should have bought a Stoeger As mentioned, clean all the factory grease I heard was a cure
I'd ask him if he's pregnant. He missed a s__tload of periods. I'll take "things that look like a uterus" for $200 Alex.

Should have bought a Stoeger My hubby just bought a Stoeger. Good thing he completely broke it down and cleaned it. I've never seen so much styrofoam packed inside of a firearm. Ever. No way it would've cycled/fired. If you haven't cleaned it, please do so. Make's a world of difference.
