I am for the first time in ten years ahead of the game. Better prepared this year then any other. All my prepwork is done. I am so ready to actually carry my bow up in my blind with me for a change. I have been for the last two weeks climbing up in by blind bowless. I am so itching to fling a arrow at some meat.

Went yesterday morning before day break, and the chill was in the air, and watched the feeder go off.

Sat in the box blind, and a lone doe came to the feeder, and left, so I'm thinking the hogs were coming.

Sat until 8:00 and nothing came out, so I went and topped off the feeder, cut some overhanging limbs with the pole saw, and fixed a nice bow blind about 18 yards from the feeder.

Yep! I be ready!

Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.

Not anywhere close now.. IKE decided to have his way with trees on my ranch.. So I get to leave Friday and spend all weekend cuttin up trees and helping the grandparents do work.. I thought I was ready until that IKE thing stormed through.. Maybe by NEXT weekend all will be good.. Good luck to everyone

I am hoping this cool weather stays with us. Nothing like sitting in a tree with gnats and mosquitos and 100 degree heat.

The ranch is set up and ready to go. Kept feed in the feeders all year. I cranked them up a little a couple of weeks ago. I'll crank them up some more in two weeks. The food plot should be doing great with all the rain.

I set up a feeder at my house in Hunt County a couple of days ago. I've seen deer, but I've never hunted it. There are some monsters around there. I've seen them hanging on the wall in the pawn shop in Quinlan.

Good luck everyone. I hope you get what you are hunting for.
