where is a good place to go for a red stag in Texas?
I dont need anything insane big,just dark, mature and I would like to try with a bow...

I've got some nice 300 class bulls on a ranch in Clarendon. They are big bodied and have great red capes. $4800 with meals, lodging, guide and all.

Red Stag is very good. They raise it as a mainstay meat in New Zealand.

If you want to bowhunt make sure you go to a bowhunting ranch, not a ranch that "can do" "will do" or "also" does bowhunts. I had to learn that the hard way.
