I have one that needs stuffin' and would like to see some of yours to get some ideas.

Here are a couple of mine.

I asked my taxidermist to do something different with ears and turn the head different on this mount since I have so many mounts. I needed it to look different.

The top one is impressive and wide. Beautiful mount. Mine is not nearly as wide so I was considering laying ears back a bit to enhance the width he does have. Ear position similar to the lower buck.

This is the deer I have to work with.

I told my taxi on the bottom one to lay the ears back since beams lay way back when they come off the skull on the bottom mount so you could see his brows and make his spread look normal. The top one was a 6x5 with a score of 193 gross(29 7/8" outside spread on the mainbeams) and the bottom one was a 6x7 with a score 183 gross. Alberta on the top one and Pecos County on the bottom one.

Great looking buck! Tremedous front forks!! Width is just airspace and the rest is real estate. A narrow buck that scores the same a wide buck will have more inches of actual antler and always looks more impressive to me. Score?
If you find a taxi you can trust. He can look at a deer and tell you what to do with it. I would also suggest go to your taxi and look at forms. Ask him to screw your skull cap/horns on a form so you can see how it looks. If he will let you take it home to see how you like how it looks on the wall. They do look funky without a cape but it gives you an idea of what it will look like in the place you want to display it. Hard to be a pedestal or offset wall pedestal mount IMO.

181 6/8 gross. He is missing 2-3 inches off his right main too.

Those are very nice mulies guys, its on my list for sure and these pics arent helping the hunting account.

He is very impressive. I would definetly get on-line or with my taxi and look at forms that are available. An offset wall pedestal with that pose in your pic will look really great to me.

His forks are what got him killed. I never got to see the width as he was paralleling me from the time I spotted him till the time a shot him....at 27 yards.
