Historically I haven't been a big deer hunter so I haven't had the chance to try backstrap, until this past weekend. I took a buck last December and I defrosted the backstrap I had in the freezer, marinaded it in Lawry's Steak and Chop marinade overnight, wrapped them all up in thick sliced bacon and grilled it all up on skewers until the bacon was slightly burnt. Holy moly!!

I use a different seasoning but everything else is pretty much the same. I do mine in a smoker. There are never any leftovers.
