About the size of a cowbird, maybe slightly larger. Skittish, couldn't get too close. Found in a wheat field in Collin county, north of Dallas.

I was not expecting that name. My dad(RIP) used to own a bar-b-que/beer joint and auto repair shop in Kentucky that he named the Bob-O-Link.

Thanks for the ID and the smile.

Not a common bird to see in tx, even during migration, most stay a lot further east. Kinda makes you wonder if ol' pops was thinking about you.
