I have been looking at new back packs and wanted to know if anyone has tried either a Badlands 2200 or Badlands Superday back pack. My primary use of the back pack be for hunting but will also use it when my wife and I go on day hikes. I would appreciate any feedback.

I've had Badlands 2200 and am looking for a another one. Can't beat them IMO. Watch EBAY, and remember that Badlands has 100% guarantee, no matter where you bought it - the BEST warranty in the industry.

Badlands 2200 is the way to go, its light,comfortable, and it will hold everything but the kichen sink.

I'd consider a suspended lumbar pack, two great ones are from Cabela's and LL Bean. Great for hills, very good for horses and not bad for ATVs. Non-essentials like jackets can be rolled and secured on to the pack. They keep the weight low as well, so not so much pack pain afterwards. You can't load them heavy or they will sag.
