Over the weekend, we came four votes away from the United States Senate giving our Constitutional rights over to the United Nations. In a 53-46 vote, the senate narrowly passed a measure that will stop the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty.
Not entirely. It's just posturing with a cushy title and get their constituents of both parties to believe they're doing something.
It's an ammendment attached to a fiscal budget, "Latest Title: An original concurrent resolution setting forth the congressional budget for the United States Government for fiscal year 2014, revising the appropriate budgetary levels for fiscal year 2013, and setting forth the appropriate budgetary levels for fiscal years 2015 through 2023. In short, if you read through all of the ammendments on fiscal planning, you can see what the senate is actually up to for both sides. Jacking off with all of their free time and doing diddly squat to actually resolve any problems or do any work.
