Has anyone here ever used a Kill Light, it's a green light that attaches to a feeder for hunting pigs at night. I've used several different methods with some success but I'm always looking for something better, I've used night vision rifle scopes and actually got a kill with it but its such a pain changing out scopes and re sighting in all the time, right now I'm sitting in my stand with my AR and an nd3 laser but I still can't see unless I turn it on and look through my scope at risk of scaring them off. If the kill light works it would be a great idea any input is greatly appreciated.

Yes, they work great. I hunt a lot of different areas. The infrared sensor, battery life (2 full nights +) and portability make it ideal for me.

The kill light only puts it a small circle of light right under the feeder. Anything outside that very small circle is safe. How much light do you need or are you looking for? If you just need a little light around the feeder, stxcowboy has the right idea. Passthru and a few other forum members have jury-rigged some cheap landscape lighting and it has served them well. If you want a lot of light that will show the whole herd or allow you a second shot, send me a PM.

Dragonuv is correct, if you want to shoot "out of the cirle", mount a light on your rifle too.

I've had good luck with mine. I really do need to get a rifle mounted light as Bob said, though.

hhhmmm. We bought 1 to give them a try. Allows you to see them under the feeder but, we still have to use binos to see them on the edges. We still have to use gun mounted lights but it does keep us from having to check with the gun mounted light. They are great for bowhunting.

I've used these for about 3 years or better. Work fine and you can really see through the scope great with that amount of light under the feeders. I'd recommend 'em.

I have used them many times and they may be the best thing going for hog hunting. Use more than one if you are hunting at 80 yards or more.

I made my own hog lights.. went to O'Reily's bought a set blue driving lights. work great!! had them setup on feeder so they would come on with photocell... 1st nite had them out shot a good size hog with them on.. I could see at 100 plus yards with just my regular scope.
