So I'm curious how many deer you will harvest? How many deer are legal in your county?

In my county we are allowed to harvest 5. As a rule I will take 1 buck and 1 doe. If I see a buck that needs to be removed...ie Big Spike...I'll take it too but again as a rule I will only harvest two.

I'll follow property rules. My main place I'll shoot 1 buck >= 5.5 if it's ETX wall worthy and that'll be all for me on that place. If the rain keeps up like it has there ought to be a cpl worth looking at.

I used to fill my tags. Anymore, I focus on quality bucks, and once I fill that tag or two, then I'll fill the rest if I can. My wife and oldest boy shoot quite a few these days, so that puts less pressure on me to fill the freezer so I can focus on big bucks.

I take my legal limit.

On my place in KS, 160+. On my place in AR, any brown animal. Don't have a place in TX.

I will only be looking for the one on my family place, there are several on the lease that fit the bill if we can get the dang cows out of the pasture.

I took 3 last year, a cull and 2 does. May not take one at all this year. As a rule I try to take 2 does for every buck for my area.

I usually take a couple of does and hold out for a mature buck.

Depends year to year, I usually shoot at minimum 4 whitetail a year and several exotics but this year I think I will just stick it out and go after the 200" breaker and a couple does if I dont just take dad to get those.

Depends on how it is when season starts, right now it's not looking good. Pastures are already dry, cows are already eating cactus, we need rain in a big way.

I take 1 mature buck and 1 cull

My county allows two bucks and two does. I will take one mature buck and two does. You didn't ask but I also shoot every pig I get in my scope.

I just try to shoot Axis spikes and 2 year olds so I guess that don't count.

I hunt in Texas MLD 3, Arkansas, Kansas. Last year wife & I helped thin the does & spikes at the MLD ranch. WE took a total of 19 mostly does. Arkansas, she & I took 3 each. Kansas, I shot a small 9 point, 4.5 yo.

Usually 1 doe and maybe a buck if the right one crosses my path. Usually let my son do most of the hunting now.

When hunting MLD, I take what the management plan calls for. In some years that's been as many as 6-8 deer.

Non-MLD, I'll typically only take a couple (2-3).

I like to put 2 deer in the freezer, processed into steaks, chili/stew meat and bacon-burger. Any additional deer are made into sausage.

On my land, if the buck is a good mature 5.5 or over and legal, I take him and take any buck with an unbrached antler if they are 2.5 yr old and maybe a doe or two (MLD Level 1)

This year, I am concentrating all my efforts on the place I got for free in Dripping Springs, but the stipulation is, I MUST take 5 deer off of it each season if not 10 (need another hunter).

I'm gonna try and shoot like 75 but I'll prolly only end up with 3.

I don't see how deer live up in your country even in a good year

Ill only take 1 or 2 whitetail a year. Now axis is a different story, I prefer at least 3 of them a year.

I have not shot a buck in a few years. If I don't see a wall hanger I pass. I take 2 to 3 does a year. Donate 1 and eat 2.

I might take one if its a good one. I'll put my family and friends on them this year though.

Probably 3 or 4 does and if my daughter sees a good buck, one buck.
