This is kind of hard to word but I will give it a go. Why chose one over the other? Does one work better on larger game or heavier boned animals then the other? Does one fly better?

C.O.C. broadheads penetrate better but beed more tuning. On whitetails, I'll take accuracy.

I like the solid one piece cut on contact ones like Montec, penetrate well, easy to sharpen, accurate and in m setup hit same place as field points

Well tuned bow it doesn't matter. Vpa, slick tricks, solid all have same point of impact under 40 for me

Too many guys want it easy and not tune the bows well but they don't realize that a well tuned bow provides better performance all around. Including penetration no matter what broad head is used.

Cut on Contact. I don't think that there is anything out there that can even come close to touching the performance I've gotten from my German Kinetic Silver Flames. http://www.german-kinetics.com/products.htmlFor those who are interested in them and don't mind the cost involved.

Hmmm, I like those Solid Broadheads. Do they make anything heavier than a 125? That would be a good head for a Bison hunt!

I'm hearing the Hunor heads are GK quality. I have some limited edition 1 7/8" 185gr Silverflame DS.

I agree With passthru as he said above....Too many people want a "fix all" broadhead that tunes itsself. I've only been bowhunting going on 23 years now but I've always had a year here or there that a broadhead I had needed tuning and was able to fix the problem. There has only been one time in my life and it was here recently with a Hellrazor that I was unable to correct my flight problem. come to find out the broadhead was unbalanced. sometimes to bowhunt you just have to get down and dirty with your equipment!!

So Montec shoots same as field pionts? That is my experience so do Grim Reapers, but this is in my bow not yours. A lot has to do with how well your bow was tuned before you try a particular broadhead. Just because your bow is shooting field points well, is no indication of how well it is tuned. I am fortunate that one Jerry at rednek booda tunes and maintains my bow, I don't have flight problems.

As long as they sharp and fly true within your range and they hit just hair and green rib they all will work. But, if you hit the humerus or the heavy part of the blade near the joint, then a chisel point style to break bones before entering the boiler room.

COC for low poundage - my son pulls 40# and achieves impressive arrow penetration on 2 for 2 kill shots so far.
