Trapped my first Coyote today using a leg trap in front of a post with some lure and red fox piss on it. This guy did a number on the site; their was a bush their the post was in front of too keep 'em from coming from behind. I caught this guy in the same pasture the cows are in so it was good to get this one out of their. Anyways I just started trapping and I have been trying to learn as much as possible and my goal was to catch at least one coyote this summer. Enjoy screenshot tool

I think it's bigger than that. Good job on the yote. Set your goal higher for the summer. Kill them all. Although the pelts aren't worth a flip right now.

Congrats! It a pleasure catching a coyote the first time and is an accomplishment to say the least!
Trapped for USFWS & TDA back in the early 80's professionally as a depredation trapper.
Again, nice job!

I used cavens violator-7 along with red fox urine to snag this one; and I purchased these and some Dobbins lures from the website: fntpost.

Nice job!
Few weeks ago I was driving home and saw a yote in a field 50 feet from the road. Pulled over, he just stood there, opened the door, still there, walked to the fence with my pistol out, still standing there, fired one shot, he was laying there.
Shoot all of them I see as long as the backdrop is safe.

coyote trapping is addicting, I caught 92 last year and caught my 18th and 19th this past weekend for this year so far, I hit them hard while mule deer hunting in the fall in Gaines/Andrews county - catch 8-10/day usually - have more fun catching coyotes than chasing 200" muleys, i'll usually chase muleys for about 2hrs in the am, check/set traps all day and then chase muleys the last two hours of the day, makes for a lot of fun, usually get out about 25-40 sets depending on how my bad back is doing, spend some time on trapperman.com, you will learn a lot, congrats on the coyotes - i'm always itchin' to see a coyote twitchin'

Congrats! It is addicting to try and make an animal put its paw in a patch of ground about 4"x4".
Are idiots multiplying faster than normal people?

I set this trap on a trail coyote's were using, looks like a rabbit was also using the trail and got caught before the coyote. I'm guessing a coyote did happen by at some point and got a free meal. It's a rabbit's foot.
