That's an understatement. Anytime you break 160 as a main frame 8 with one little kicker is is mofo!

That's an understatement. Anytime you break 160 as a main frame 8 with one little kicker is is mofo! Ok, sorry. GREAT DEER!!! !!! I don't get too excited unless I see drop tines and dark chocolate horns and floppy South Texas ears. But that is a very nice buck, very impressive 8pt. Congrats to your buddy!

Yeah the drops get me and the dark horns but the big bodies and great red capes of the panhandle and Kansas mixed with their mass are just as impressive.

Great looking buck! Would have loved to have seen that buck in a wet year instead of last years drought.

No doubt, I grew up hunting Mexico and South Texas, but Matthewsbowman(Yancey) got me hooked on them panhandle deer this last season. The other plus is up around Shamrock they say they never see any snakes. Here is an 8 that was taken in Oklahoma. I hunted with him and his dad up in the panhandle last season. He has taken some monsters in Oklahoma and two booners in Kansas on public land. could not figure out how to blur his face so I used some of the new options on Photobucket.

Nothing but dinks in Oklahoma that deer was shot in north eastern kansas

Hahahah that pic made me crack up. Very nice pics.
