Saw chophouse hamburgers on diners, drive inns and dives. The Guy Fieri show. It's pretty darn good. Its a block or so west of Fielder on Park Row in central Arlington. All off Tim Loves places make an offly fine burger as well. The Love Shack has one with a fried quail egg on top that was delightful.

I tried Ye Ole Butcher shop in Plano today and had the Elk Burger. I wouldn't say it's the best burger I've had but it was pretty good.

Dallas Chop House Burger is a completely different company. That truffle butter is good though. Not a bad price for the location. Less than $6.

I was working in Waco last week and ate at the Dubl-R. I must say that it was among the top 3 hamburgers I have eaten in my life and I consider myself a connoisseur. The fries were great too and it was very reasonably priced.

That little lady at the sales counter is quite the...well...sales lady! She ended up signing us up with a Murph, a Local, a brisket taco, fries, drinks, and a whole chicken with sides for dinner that night.
Voodoo I tell 'ya.
Then she gave us free pies cause they were closing and didnt want to throw them out. Those pies have cocaine in them...they must. I am considering going back and just having like 5 pies for lunch.

I got the taco...same brisket as the sandwich. Also found out something I was probably not supposed to know. They sell the brisket by the pound. Not sure of the price...

My current fave go-to burger is Bells Better Burger in Balch Springs, TX. My mom ate there when she was a kit and my dad's step-dad used to do car shows in the parking lot.
Sometimes burgers just taste better when you dont have to drive across the state or wait in line to eat them.

Just went to Chop House, I have to say they are pretty good. The lady got the chili cheese burger. I about laughed my a$$ off when it came out. It looked to be about double the size of my burger and mine was still pretty big, just for reference, she's about a third of my size and I wouldn't have been able to eat it all. It was covered with chili, cheese and battered jalapenos. Ain't no way she's finishing it. I got the Sicilian. It reminded me of the BMT from Subway except with provolone melted. It has basically the same meats. We also got the Fajita Bites. They tasted more like a Philly Cheesesteak though. I'll probably pass on them in the future. We also ordered a basket of fries. Fries were great. on the softer side, like I like and seasoned well. Plenty for two big people or three smalls. All in all, it's ok. Lots of food for relatively cheap, $20ish for two. I like the flavor they add, can't speak about the flavor of the meat though as the stuff they add over powers the meat. I guess that's why I like Twisted Root. It's more of a pure burger. I'll have to go back to Root and get some pics of theirs too. Darn... I just hate having to do that. I give Chop House a 7/10.

Seven pages and nobody has mentioned Goodfriend? I know it might be a little hipster/East Dallas for this crowd, but the El Jefe (topped with bacon and brisket) and the Loretta (blue cheese, bacon/onion jam) burgers are outstanding. If I'm in a hurry, Kellers will do.
