It's ugly. It feels like I'm pointing a 2 x 4 down range. The trigger is kinda heavy. The sights suck. It's just not attractive. If she was a woman, she'd be a real swamp donkey. But I shoot it better than any of the 12 or so pistols I've owned over the years.... Stupid glocks! I hate that it shoots so well.

You aren't going to tell me that Glock started all of this plastic pistol fascination are you? I have had and surely will end up with another G17 (would much rather have an 18) but my list of just as good and maybe better keeps me content until I get one. When prices are as they should be Glocks are worth it. $600+ for a used one? I'll pass. BTW first plastic pistol I saw was a HK VP70.

I sold a Glock and replaced it with a nice 1911. One of my better decisions in life.

LOL!
Yup, Glocks are uglier than a mud fence, but you can abuse the hell out of em, and they keep on a going.

They work, and are pretty popular. If they work for you, so be it. Smile and shoot. I prefer my 1911, H&K USP and Springfield XDm's.
They make me smile.

I had a 36 with the OD frame. It wasn't to ugly but I did trade it for a flashier 1911.

The grip angle on Glocks are just wrong. Every time I naturally address a target with a Glock the muzzle is pointing up in the air. Guess I have shot too many 1911s thru the years.

lol! It does chap a lot of hides that a plain, utilitarian tool like a Glock simply works. It is confounding, ain't it?!

I think there's something sexy about a compact or sub compact Glock. The full size are ugly to me.

you want to trade it for a springfield XD No, I bought an XD because it looked good, felt good in my hand, and the trigger was nice. Still couldn't shoot it better than my glock.

The grip angle on Glocks are just wrong. Every time I naturally address a target with a Glock the muzzle is pointing up in the air. Guess I have shot too many 1911s thru the years. The grip angle is designed to be used with your elbows locked with your arms straight out from you (no bend in the elbows). When you do this the Glock will naturally point straight at the target because your wrist and hands are rolled forward. Subsequently, this same stance will make a 1911 point low. Just an FYI on why the grip angle is different.

Glocks are definitely the "Ak47's" of the pistol world. May not be the prettiest or flashiest, but they can take a serious beating and some abuse and work every time. I love my H&Ks and my Sigs myself, but you can't argue with the functionality of the Glocks. Point, pull trigger, and bang bang bang, all the day long!

The only real issue I have with my Glock is the grip angle. I see it as a specific type of gun. It's not made to look good, and apparently not made to be comfortable. It's a plain and simple tool, and it does it's job great. I think a 1911 will be the gun I get for form and function.

I think AK's are beautiful. The wood one's, not those silly tacticool things.

I unfortunately own 5 of them and want a 20sf also. They just flat out do the job. It took a long time to win me over, but it is hard to beat them. I have an M&P 45 that I love. The grip angle seems to fit my hand better, but getting mags and other parts for them has not been simple.

I've had pretty woman and pretty guns, both often led to dissappointment. If only there was a woman was as reliable and fun to play with as my G17. More importantly I can suppress the Glock....

i used to think glocks were ugly and unattractive also, but...ah have been shown the light...seriously, i was at a pistol class and i was shooting my 1911, and another feller shooting a glock. i made a snide comment about the glock not being accurate. basically after whatching this guy shoot, i had put my whole leg in my mouth...now its my carry gun

I own Glocks because parts are available everywhere and they seem to last forever. With that said, I far prefer shooting my Sig 236 and M&Ps over my Glocks.

Glocks work, and in the unlikely event you mess one up, you can find parts.
Having 2 guns that can cover 5 calibers is neat too. Thinking about making it an even 6 by getting a 9x25 Dillon barrel too for my 29 slide, that caliber looks fun.
