looking through some old pics i found this.... do housecats and skunks buddy up? i've never seen it before.
If I send my neighbors a text and ask them to give me feedback on my lawn and plant rye into a giant dong pattern, I'm probably going to get some less than positive feedback. Same goes here.

Very possible. My cats use to run around the yard in Washington with the racoons.

It is possible for the skink and house cat to get along. My Lab used to play with a skunk all the time till I heard them on the front porch one night. Turned the light on and the skunk ran off. I don't know how many weeks they had been playing. Skunk never sprayed my Lab though.

They'll eat table scraps together...and there's a documentary on Nickelodeon of a skunk trying to be romantically involved with a cat.

I've dispatched a few feral cats out here in the woods that look like that.

Years ago (I was a kid) we camped at Garner State Park. My brother and I were chasing stray cats by bicycle one evening. We ran up on one cat that didn't run away like the others. It was a black, furry cat with white stripe and stunk really bad. But the other cats were hanging out with it like they were all buddies.

Some skunks are definitely social critters. We had one get into our hunting shack in Throckmorton years back when we left the door open during nice weather days.
It didn't want to leave. It seemed it just wanted to hang out with us. I finally was able to lightly nudge it out the door with a broom.
It never sprayed, and definitely didn't have rabies.

That's a high fenced Wampus cat. Rarely seen outside of Itaska, Tx
