When the hogs ruin your Turkey Hunt…. Take out as man as you can with 3 rounds! (12 gauge turkey loads) I was turkey hunting from a ground blind tucked into some cedars… about 3 little sow’s and a lone boar came in. I stayed very still and then had a big sow and at least 15 piglets come in. The sow was less than 10 yards away from me on my right side before she stopped and noticed me. She knew something was wrong and kept snorting at me trying to get me to move or run? She took a hard step towards me as if she was ready to charge. She was aggressive, With my shot gun on my lap I gave her one to the face (hip shot) with out shouldering…then shouldered the shotgun and started blasting the hogs in front of me. She managed to run off along with the rest. I loaded them up for a photo shoot because I knew no one would have believed me! It was an exciting ordeal! My daughter sporting her “Pink” Rider b-b gun! She was so proud of this picture and couldn’t wait to show her Grandma and Papa!

That is awesome! I love the smile on her face and her pink Rider. Pluse the daddy/daughter hunt is pretty special!!! Tell her congrats on such a great hunt

She also got a Pin for her hat from the game warden
He asked her if she had her hunting license and she shook her head “no”
He laughed! Took her to the truck and gave her a pin.
“Honorary Texas Game Warden”
He told her to call him if our hunting camp got out of line!

Great story. Probably stopped a chain reaction of 200+ hogs by getting rid of that pack and hopefully wounding the sow enough to stop her breeding machine.
