Here is the bird I've been after for a couple if weeks. Darn smart bird, every time I'm on property he changes pattern and seems to hit the feeder until I leave - sometime by only 5 minutes. Spent ALL day waiting for him and he only ran out to the feeder the two times I took a short break. I even waited off 200 yards in full Ghillie and he wouldn't show Then ran out and chowed down in the time I took a 15 minute break. What go y'all think?

Forget the feeder. It's spring turkey season!

While he was answering calls opening week, most of the birds in my area now are pretty silent - and definitely not coming to calls.
The birds have several different roosts in the area and seem to pick them haphazardly day to day, and follow different routes to the roosts. And unfortunately, some of those routes and roosts are off property.
But I'm trying... there seems to be three Toms that come to the feeder every day though, and I have two ambush points from roosts to feeder, and two spots to see the feeder (one close by, another by sitting out in a grown over field 200 yards away).
I'm going again, I am just to bring enough water and food and a pee bottle to sit there ALL DAY to wait for him. I think that is what is going to take.
Pics don't do him true justice, he is a big bodied bird.
