When you go Dove hunting, what is considered your area?

I'm referring to the area you'd want to check and ensure it wasn't baited.

If I don't have to work on Monday, I was considering going to Granger WMA, but got to thinking about the fact, hog hunters, are allowed to bait. I don't want to get written up for hunting over a baited area.

You are thinking too much. Just go hunt. You will be fine.

Texas Parks and Wildlife explains exactly what hunting over a baited area is in their eyes. Go to their site and it should explain your issue.

The MAN will explain it all when he sees you.

most wmas are smarter than that. They usually stop hog baiting in July or august.

Most of the hogs are below the dam at Granger. I have always had good luck for Dove at the Sore Finger Area.

good luck and have fun
