I live in the McKinney / Frisco Texas area... can anyone point me to a few good gun dog trainers?

Also looking for a place I can buy a few birds to plant and hunt... any advice?

Thanks!

Rob Martin in east Texas is the go to trainer for a lot of Texas NSTRA bird doggers. I lost all my email addresses and do not now have his contact information.

Also, welcome to the forum,

Maybe this thread should have been posted on the upland forum, or been named Pointing Dog Training, or maybe I'm confused.

Just a general posting. I have a Small Munsterlander puppy coming and will hunt both upland bird and water fowl. Just looking for some help and advice from those who are connected to this network of trainers.

We own our own business training retrievers, it sounds like you are looking for someone to train your dog to dual purpose, pointing and retrieveing?
When we get calls for dual purpose I ALWAYS refer our cutomers to Jusin and Jennifer Drake at Drake Sporting dogs, they work with both, have a lot of experience, all around good people and their dogs look great.
That's who I would reccomend if you want your dog to do both.

The little red vizsla on their web page is my female.
Justin is my nephew so I'm a little bias, but
I know my dogs are in good hands when they stay with him.

I think he may have a waiting list right now.
