Did you ever get those pirogue (SP) finished? I am picking one up tomorrow just like the large one you have. Looking for some ideas!!!! Post up some pics PLEASE!

I'm working on my Puddler and my hunting partner's pirogue. They are at my office but I should be over there on Sunday if not before working on them. I'll try to get some in progress photos. We have put the bungee cord on them for the grass and are in the process of dyeing grass now.

My partner's has a square tail and he has a trolling motor on his. Mine is pointed at both ends. The grass will cover the perimeter of the cockpit and the flat decks. We have some cordura that was green cornfield camo. We have painted it brown and will be attaching raffia to that and using it as a blanket to hide under.

We decided against doors as I didn't want them in the way when paddling, getting in and out, etc. The covers we will be able to roll up and stuff out of the way till we need them.

We will attach rafia to the cordura blanket to pull up over us. My partner will have a second one to put over the trolling motor. Rafia will also be attached to all of the bungee and hang into the boat around the edge blending in with the blanket cover. The bungee will also allow us to put some local vegetation on it as need be.

We are putting his battery up front on his and I've also run a female cig. plug half way back on his so he can plug in his helmet light.
