John Muir was right. That has to be one of the most beautiful places on earth, right in our own backyard,(sort of). Great pics. I like the Sequoia, it's probably a thousand years old. You can see where it got burned a LONG time ago.

Only problem is that one has to go to California to see it!

I thought the same thing. The truth is NORCAL is very, very different from SOCAL. My wife and I flew into, I hate to say it San Fransisco as a starting point for our honeymoon. We took US 101 all the way to Northern Oregon. I've never seen such beauty in all the places I've traveled. The people were very nice and the states roadways were all spotless. I remember seeing a sign as we left California and entered into Oregon that said, "Fine for Littering $6250.00" they don't play up there and there is no trash on the side of the roadway.

I grew up spending my summers with my grandparents in Lincoln City Or. right on the beach. One of the most beautiful places on this planet!! Those stream shots have me excited for my summer trout fishing trip in Colorado!

The picture of Half Dome with El Capitan on the left side is iconic. Yosemite is simply one of the most beautiful places on earth. Good thing you went there before the summer crowds got there. Very nice......
