Anybody know anything about the DFW Hunt outfitter? Know they have some leases available, but all seem way too overpriced. $30-$40/acre range for 150-300 acres. If you've ever dealt with them, any info would be appreciated.

Just google "Mike Hopkins deer lease". You'll find PLENTY of information, comments and opinions on him and his leases. Plenty that like him. Plenty that don't.

I just started getting emails from his last week. I un-subscribed from his listings, which I had never signed up for in the first place.

At the bottom it asked for a reason why I was un-subscribing. My reply

Just my opinion but the worst thing ever created was a deer lease broker! drove the lease prices through the roof. 20 yrs ago $500 a gun. Today $2500.

I got an e-mail from him today. He wanted $51.00 an acre for a 100 acre lease!
Actually called him a few years back and questioned him on why his prices were so high. He said he only charges what the market will support, and I said I guess there's fools out there that will pay anything. His reply to that was that
people that make a lot of money like to have nice things.
Isn't there an old saying about a fool and his money??
And these prices are for properties around Denton out to Eastland.

I joined one of his dove leases years ago and continually got overpriced deer lease emails. I asked him to stop and told him they were overpriced and overcrowded. His reply was just have fewer people and each pay more, and he agreed to remove me from the email list. They continue frown.
