Guys - we need a few more duck hunters for our hunting club this season, plus enjoy dove hunting spots near Dallas starting Monday. I am in American Fish and Game Club (used to be Texas Hunting Conservation Hunting Club, until it merged with AFGC).
I've been a member for 4 years (going on 5) and I believe it is a good value and opportunity. It is a "club" and not a "lease" because you reserve a private spot (duck lake, deer blind, quail field, etc) for the day. Almost all of our spots you can drive up, drop your stuff, set up and then move the truck and start hunting.
We are a FAMILY club - all kids/spouses included in the fee. The annual fee of $1,050 for all birds covers duck, dove, quail and turkey. We also have a growing pig population at our spots near Olney that you are welcome to help us reduce.
Our leases run from Olney in the west to Bonham in the east, all in Texas. We also have new locations near Houston and Austin, but North Texas is still the focus. Many spots are day huntable from DFW area and there is a large "deer camp" with trailers, tent spots, etc. outside of Olney.
