I am sending my Shield in for the 2 tone look and wonder which route was be the best as far as functionality goes. I tried to search but NOTHING comes up in, surprised.

I have two rifles in Cerakote and it works great. I have no experience with the nickel boron process.
I learned long ago you can't reason someone out of something they don't reason themselves into.

Cerekote can be colored many ways. NiB is one color, or can color be added to it?

My Cerakote works great, much much better than durakote or hydrodipping as far as scratches/durability are concerned. The only thing that came close to scratching my cerakote is when a large heavy edge of stainless steel slid down the barrel, and it didn't get all the way through the cerakote.
I've never had a Nickel Boron anything before, but I'd jump on it if I found something I liked. I've always thought it looked prettier. I'd love to test it's durability sometime

I have NiB BCG and FCG from Spike's. Slick and cleans easily.
