 Huge wild boar down in Germany!

My hunting partner went out this morning and came across one of the biggest pigs we've seen in the area. This is a 440lb (220Kg) male wild boar. To give you some perspective, my hunting partner is over 6ft tall, and you can see from the side by side photo, the boar is nearly taller than him. It was shot with a 9.3x62 on a full length stock (stutzen) using a red dot scope. I don't know the distance, but normally our stands are not more than 30m away from the boxes. We estimate that the cutters will be at least 15cm long when they're all cleaned up.     Waidmannsheil from Heidelberg

WOAH! That's a big piggy... and if he was weighed on a metric scale (I assume he was since you put up 220kg), he's actually about 485lbs!! Love the cutters!

thanks all, I did a quick weight in my head, forgot that a kilo is 2.2 lbs, and just did a quick x2.
Friend called me today and said that based on whether the teeth stay in the jaws while cooking, he'll either keep it as a whole skull or just place the cutters on an oak shield.
I think if we imported these genetics to Texas, we'd have a whole new level of crop damage on our hands!
