You're a good man, Sniper.

I had the same thing happen but I didn't notice the baby hiding in the brush when I let the mother go. My soft heart'ed dad took the little "kid" home. Game cam photos documented the three day ordeal.
you know the coyote eradication programs of the 50's worked when you have a goat caught in a fence for three days and it and the baby were virtually unaffected.
That wouldn't fly down in s.tx

.... I feel like Beavis or Butthead....I'm still laughing at "pasture maggot"....just added a new word to the vocabulary.
on the other hand...terrible ordeal for the goat & kid. One of my biggest fears regarding my feed pens is animals getting trapped in them...

Ive got a buddy in the goat business. Most of you would be amazed at what kind of money is to be made in the pasture maggot business.
A true friend reaches for your hand but touches your heart.

Raising goats can be more profitable than leasing out to deer hunters.

Raising goats can be more profitable than leasing out to deer hunters. Touching, still don't like them.

Just saying if the goats are supposed to be there and the rancher picks the money maker, you might be without a place to hunt. But with that attitude I figure you already know it all anyway. Your type makes it difficult for others to deal with landowners/ranchers.

Yep. Rancher moves in goats or sheep, I move on. Just not worth it.

I will take that under advisement, not a attitude Amigo. I don't like Goats. I don't like coons nor Soda's and Hockey. I have never had a issue with a landowner. Have a great afternoon.
