The Spousal Unit has a Lady that works for her and the Ladies Father passed on to the next plane last week and she went up to clean up the house for a Estate Sale. She said her 79 yr old Mom screamed and grabbed a Shotgun and sent these 3 to a untimely demise. Salty Lady in Oklahoma

Yikes for sure. I'm not tryin' to play internet police but it's illegal to kill Timber Rattlers in Texas, not sure about Oklahoma. Personally, I would have done the same thing. People, dogs, and snakes don't play well together.

Velvet tails get BIG we got them down here.... i dnt kill them though just take them down to the river and let them b.... only snakes i will kill is a copper head or cotton mouth... i turn loose bull snakes under my house just to get rid of the copper heads lol. cool pic and info didnt know you could kill them in OK

just remember the timber rattler is protected in TX.

I dont care if they are protected or not. There's not a snake alive that is protected around my house.

Only the non venomous snakes get to live, unless one scares the heck outta me. Then it's dead.

Everything native has its purpose....except copper heads and cottom mouths... lol

I don't think the little ole granny took the time to think whether or not any of these critters were protected or not. In the end, they weren't protected from her.
