I paid around the same at Wally world in Crockett two weeks ago. Filled up the tank at $3.30 a gal yesterday so hopefully the corn will continue to drop.

Went by WalMart in New Boston this morning - $8.27 for 40 LB.

Been that price for about a month.

Starting next Friday, mine will be $ 8.50 for a 50 pound bag. Less than 20 ppm alfatoxins apple scented. But, I'm not anywhere near east Tx.

Just paid 9.79 for a 50# bag at TSC in Canton.

Not to hijack the thread but tell me about your luck using corn in East Texas. I will be using a feeder for the first time this far north east (Henderson County). I have used feeders in south and west Texas but have heard mixed reviews here.

You will get mixed results with corn in East TX. Last year hunting over corn was almost pointless with all the acorns. This year should be much better as the acorn crop looks really slim. You'll find that bucks don't frequent the feeders near as much as does, at least ours don't. Hunting hogs over an established feeder is pretty much a guaranteed kill. Good luck!
