We have been killing a lot of rabbits this year on our lease. The kids like it and they grill up nice. I like them better fried, like chicken, but the doc said cut back on fried food. Havent found any worms yet. I was wondering whats the latest in the year you guys will kill rabbits. I have always followed the old deal about waiting until first frost to hunt them. Just wasn't sure when we should stop.

You can eat them year around without worry. Wabbit fever is somewhat a myth....as we normally know it http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0001859/It does not say anything about cooking the meat properly prevents it but does say it rare to get from eating a rabbit or squirrel. You can even get it from breathing infected dirt
