Built this protein feeder with some scrap wood I had in the garage. What do you think?

Looks good, I'm going to build one this weekend. What are the dimensions?

This is 60 inches long and the tough is 12 inches wide. The trough is 24 inches high but I may move that up to about three feet.

Use oil-base paint on the OSB top. Looks good....

I covered it with some roofing metal and moved the trough up. It's out with protein in it as we speak. Will be checking on it in two weeks hope to have some good pics of big bucks eating out of it.

How do you keep the racoons out of it?

Looks great. Unfortuantey at my place the hogs would destroy in about 30 minutes.

Built this protein feeder with some scrap wood I had in the garage. What do you think? Nice feeder, I like a man who builds from scrap or repurposes items into deer hunting gear. The only thing that I'd do differently would be to make the bottom skids longer, the hogs here would turn the feeder over.
