With a .243 or .270 calibur or something close. To be kept in the truck. Nothing fancy. Would like to spend $150. "If possible". I may be asking for a miracle. Haha

I use a franken-Garand for my truck gun. Recoil is easy and for $500 it can't be beat. It WILL knock down anything in Texas. Just don't expect it to work miracles on the bench.

Yea I think the only thing you might find even close to the 150 mark is something in a single shot H&R maybe. I will prob be more than that. Good luck,

Good luck finding a Mosin right now, supply is pretty dang dry. You can get Chinese Type 53's for around $170 if you hunt, but we aren't swimming in $99 Mosins at the moment.
A single shot H&R would do nicely for you though.

Find a used Savage Edge or Axis. Only thing remotely close in those calibers for a low price.
