When I shoot I get decent grouping but then sometime they will be in a straight line not a circle. Any advise?

concentrate on not dropping your arm!
Brayden (Lazy L's Southern Comfort) you will be missed! You were more than a pet you were my reason to rise and return for many days! You were my rock! 12/26/03-10/25/13

concentrate on not dropping your arm! That's right, consentrate you the follow through and allow the bow to fall forward after the shot, or count to two before lowering your arm. It just takes practice to develope a consistant shot, and watch some youtube videos on good form to make sure you're doing the righ thing.

Like they said try to hold longer I have the same problem after practicing a couple hours. I tend to drop my arm as soon as I release and it affects my pattern. so try to practice repetition " I think that's the word" and not just shot placement .

The ticket to consistent shooting is you have to have a routine. I use a pre-shot routine all the time ( I make sure my bow hand is set right with very little holding the bow only index finger lightly touching the grip and my knuckles are at the right angle 45 degrees from the grip and I have the right balance with my feet) , I use a routine for aiming (I simply color my pin on the target while I allow my back tension release to surprise me, all the while I have my middle finger knuckle in my right ear and my thumb pointing down for the correct anchor point) The same thing goes for the release ( I allow the bow to fall forward while holding my hand towards the target and let my release hand pull back) . If you practice this continually it become habit. I do it now without even thinking about it.

Learn good form, practice with purpose correct setup for shot Make the shot Follow through
When practicing 10 shots with good concentration and form are better than 100 shots flung at the target
lf the saying "Liar, Liar your pants on fire" were true Mainstream news might be fun to watch

Great info guys will be applying this. I think the more I shoot I tend to forget to hold after the shot.
