I've just been told that this taxidermist is no longer in business. Does anybody know if this is true?

Their website is not in operation anymore, I've taken a few things to them way in the past and was never impressed. Had to spend more money and get the mounts done over again. And checking other forums, people have been getting there antlers back and capes frozen, never tanned!!!!!

are you guys talking about Jason Bynum in Snyder? I know he is now running a taxidermy school and may have gotten out of the commercial taxidermy. I can't believe that he would just do what you guys claim. He is one hell of a good taxidermist and has always produced high quality work. I hope you are talking about a different Bull Creek Taxidermy.

I agree with you Mike. He always did an excellent job for me. I just heard that he sold the business to his top assistant and not long after that the business closed. I sent one of my guys on my lease to him and that's what he told me he was told after he couldn't get anyone to answer the phone at the number for Bull Creek.

I attended Central Texas School of Taxidermy in the summer of 2010. Jason Bynum had sold Bull Creek Taxidermy prior to me attending the school to a guy name Michael Self. Things went south for Bull Creek fast! Jason is a great taxidermist and a very honest guy. He has helped me out on things even after leaving the school. I hate for Jason to get a bad reputation because of this guy. Google Michael Self Bull Creek Taxidermy and you will find out all you need to know.

I took Jason Bynum's class in 2010. He does not do mounts commercially anymore due to teaching. So yes, he did sell Bull Creek to a guy that worked for him. When Jason took us on a visit to Bull Creek Taxidermy he said the new owner did not have half the business that he had. The shop was not as clean as when Jason had it and a few other things. I believe Jason still had the new owner paying him rent for the building or something like that. Jason is an excellent taxidermist and person, so I am positive that this was not his doing.
