Without a doubt the Savage now that they put the Accutrigger on rimfire rifles.
I'm a dude who likes long barrels!

I'm partial to these.... Savage Twins--93BTVS .22 Mag and .17 HMR I had the barrels cut to 18" and threaded for the suppressors. There is pretty much no competition when it comes to .17 HMR and who has the best rifles for that kind of money. If you look over at rimfirecentral.com it is pretty much unanimous that the Savages are the best for the price. If you want to spend a little more, then the CZ's are nice as well, but not near as many possible configurations.

Ive got a Marlin. It is a sweet shooter and this is comng from a Savage guy. But dont get me wrong, I would rather have the Savage.
And that WSM sounds sweet. I may have to try one out when they come out.
I avoid Dick's and hope they fold.

I have bought 5 of them. Shot one other. Ruger 77/17 Varmint. Only grouped the 20grs well. Marlin heavy barrel, shot well and was consistent. 3 Savage 93's with bull barrel, 1 with and 2 without accu-trigger. All shoot good averaging near 1 moa with 17gr bullets. Contender 23" barrel, shoots good, but that barrel cost what a Marlin or Savage base model does. I don't plan on ever buying another one, but I didn't plan on building two 17 Mach II's either, but if I do it would have an indian on the stock.

I am happy with my Savage 93 but have not tried any others.

Nice set up, my BIL has the same gun & it's a good shooter! Thanks, it groups well with the 17's but the 20's open up a little. I'm about to have a contest with a directional member on here..
