I've been looking at the Beretta 84 (380). Anyone have one or have any experience with them? They seem like a nice pistol but I wanted to see if anyone had any feedback before I made the investment.

In my opinion........anything made by Beretta is well worth having. That especially holds true in handguns.
Uprisings started or quelled, tornadoes rerouted, elections rigged.

Great little shooter; good pointing ergonomics. Less flip than it's twin the BDA and the Bersa. With WWB ammo, shoots accurate to at least 25 yards.

I have the Browning BDR and it is a great shooting gun. You will like it.

I acquired an ANIB 84fs recently with 2 13 round mags. I was shocked when I looked online to see what they are selling for these days. The listings say that Beretta is no longer importing them and that they are hard to find. A NIB Bruniton one with 2 13 round mags sold on Gunbroker in the last day or two for $1425. There may be some other variants that are not selling like this but the 84fs's sure seem high to me. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this or can confirm why there may be a shortage.

They're very large for what they shoot, but accurate and soft recoiling.
I'd rather have a 9mm myself, but they're nice for people unused to (or incapable) of shooting harder recoiling rounds.

A NIB Bruniton one with 2 13 round mags sold on Gunbroker in the last day or two for $1425. There may be some other variants that are not selling like this but the 84fs's sure seem high to me. Fools and their money parting ways in spectacular fashion. Wait and watch the prices come down.

Thanks for your comments Gary. Everything you said makes perfect sense. I can see why at least a few people might pay "crazy money" for something that has been discontinued, but not for a gun that is just difficult to find temporarily.
