Anyone ever shoot 300blackout in BA? BA? Do you mean bolt action? If so , yeah I have videos posted above. It's super quiet.

My take on the .300. I have both, .300 AR and Bolt Action. The shine on these is shooting heavy sub sonic loads suppressed. Very quiet out of the bolt gun, action noise in the AR over shadows it for me. If your intentions are using a .300 with supersonic ammo, there are better choices. Lots of AR chamberings are better and faster with more energy for hunting than the .300. If you are building a CQB AR to run suppressed or SBR, I think that is a great idea. In a bolt action rifle with a suppressor I have never heard anything more quiet than the .300 subsonic, and I have run .308, 7.62x39 subs with the same suppressor. I dont know why the .300BLK is more quiet than the other two as the loads are very similar, but it is. Here is a pic of my bolt action .300 BO with YHM Phantom.

I finally shot my 300 blk this weekend. Love it. Accurate and very low recoil. My brother-in-law shot it and had nothing but good things to say. Also, Chad's ammo seems to be good stuff.

That's great to hear. I'm thinking about getting a 700 in 300blackout.

Ive got the little AAC edition H&R. It shoots subs very well. Thinking seriously about upgrading to the rem 700 AAC SD. So I may have the single shot on the market soon

Bigtex46. If you are going to go with the Rem 700 I would consider the 700 PSS instead. The rem 700 AAC SD has a 20 in barrell and you would be suprised at what an additional 6 inches does for accuracy. I just completed mine, Rem 700 PSS 308 with H&S Presission stock. Had the barrell threaded and my AAC 7.62 SD fits great and it is literally louder to dry fire than it is to fire with a round in. I have a 300 Whisper which shoots BO rounds also and thought I was silent. Boy was I wrong. Put it this way, when my police buddy fired it, he had the patrol car on, pulled the trigger and thought it miss fired. Noop, it acutally shot lol. But I can also throw a standard round in there and reach out much farther than the 20" barrell. Plus I don't know if you have touched one, but the stock, I forget the name of it, is a rubber almost sticky feel. In the heat it makes you sweat like a sponge. I am big into painting and that stock cannot be painted. It is a good gun, but if you are looking at accuracy and distance as well as quiet with subsonic, you would be better off with the full length PSS.

If you are looking for something dedicated to shooting heavy subsonic loads instead of down loading a 308, and using a 1:8 twist then it is a great cartiridge. If you are just looking for supersonic loads in a AR platform then there are other options that will out perform the 300blk _________________________ aion kinah| Diablo 3 Gold kaufen| Diablo 3 Gold|| Guild Wars 2 gold|

Over the weekend I was 180 yards out from my dad and his buds open field and I was sitting RIGHT next to a pond . Took one shot at a turtle and they weren't sure if I had shot or not . It was a little windy so I'm sure that helped . This was using a Remington 700 AAC-sd using chads 200 grain soft point subsonic rounds suppressed . The next day my dad was at least 6-700 yards away when I shot a squirrel and he said he heard the bullet flying that's it . (No wind that day) It's more than half as quiet as my dads .22 mag Henry lever action Let some younger kids shoot a can at around 40 yards and u could hear the bullet piercing the aluminum can . Figured I'd give em something to talk about at school

At that range are the Subs even effective anymore? To me thats like shooting a .45ACP at 200 yards. Right?

Oh gotcha, read that the wrong way. What is the effective range to kill a hog with the subs?

I would think inside 150 would be best , I don't know I don't have anywhere to hunt that has hogs . They are few and far between where I hunt .
