Drive to the coast & go on a real fishing trip. You mean like the kind of real fishing trip to the beach at Port A during spring break? ....yeah, but some of the stuff you might catch you can't bring back!

Drive to the coast & go on a real fishing trip. a coast trip is a serious affair. I don't sit on the pier and catch piggies we make long runs to baffin and landcut
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

I will take you up on that sometime though

What activities should I indulge myself in? Turkey season hasn't started(not to mention I'm not a turkey hunter. shooter yes, but not a hunter of turkeys) Axis still are growing their racks, WT haven't shed yet, lakes are too low to fish and will probably disappear before the summer starts, our lake had a big die off in October so its a big empty as far as fishing in concerned, and its too dang nice out to not be doing someting.
Thought about going and shooting my new 7mm but that would only make me want to go hunt even more.
I'm dying over here Why in the heck aren't you trapping skunks (March is breeding season) and calling predators? The beauty of predator hunting is that it is all 12 months in Texas. There is ALWAYS a hunting season! You have no excuse to be bored!

Told my wife this morning "dang it I want to go coyote hunting!" She said "go". I said, "can't have too much work to do".
I envy you right now.

Oh you can bring it back, problem is you can't get rid of it. At least not without a trip to the clinic.

TXTrophy, I grew up in Corpus and fished Baffin hard from age 8-16, probably every other weekend out of hunting season. Popping corks and live shrimp. Avoid the rocks...Caught hundreds of 5-9 lb. Speckled Trout during those days..BTW, watch out for rattlesnakes out there, we killed 2, 5 footers riding the waves..

Your bucks drop yet? Shed hunt?
I'm currently growing a bunch of pear seeds I harvested over the last year and have been planting fruit trees out at my place. I've been planting fruit trees also. Just got a couple of moonglow pears in the ground too.
Life is too short, as is. Don't chance it. Don't text and drive.

Today, to fight boredom, I shot a few 22 rifles to check scope zeros. That was fun, and easy and cheap.
