What activities should I indulge myself in? Turkey season hasn't started(not to mention I'm not a turkey hunter. shooter yes, but not a hunter of turkeys) Axis still are growing their racks, WT haven't shed yet, lakes are too low to fish and will probably disappear before the summer starts, our lake had a big die off in October so its a big empty as far as fishing in concerned, and its too dang nice out to not be doing someting.
Thought about going and shooting my new 7mm but that would only make me want to go hunt even more.
I'm dying over here

It's a nice day to take a dog for a walk. Or fill an ice chest with your favorite beverages, light the firepit, sit outside and grill and chill

Pigs, pigs.... oh yeah pigs i look at them like a target of opportunity. I'll shoot them, but i don't really target them, unless I"m on a ranch that has just a ton of them. our place is too hit or miss

Your bucks drop yet? Shed hunt?
I'm currently growing a bunch of pear seeds I harvested over the last year and have been planting fruit trees out at my place.

It's too cold now, but this is the time of year during the warmer days that you start seeing a lot of rattlers on the roads at night. I like cruising around, drinking beer, and shooting rattlesnakes and/or rabbits for coyote bait.

Make babies and run around all day to games and birthday parties. I snuck a mountain bike ride in too. Luckily no deer ran into me.

I feel the same, definate hunting withdrawal symptoms- kind of a bummer. Did go out to the hog blind this morning & just sat there for a while (daydreaming). I am slowly getting the turkey gear lined up. Too windy ta' fish today. Maybe I'll just wait here for axismaster & chital to post for something to laugh at!
Dryberry was the last lake God created and it took the entire seventh day. Dryberry Lake Sioux Narrows, Ontario, Canada (a.k.a. Heaven)

I'm with you except, I'm ready to start fishing. Water level isn't the issue, but I've never had success in 20MPH wind.
Batteries are charged, rod-n-reels are about ready (still changing some line), and tackle bag has been audited for missing items.
Not sure what's on for today after Church but it involves outside.
Pig hunting sounds like the way to go. As for fishing, I've heard decent reports for Choke, and you're closer to the coast then I am.

Drive to the coast & go on a real fishing trip. You mean like the kind of real fishing trip to the beach at Port A during spring break?
