I'm heading out tomorrow to check out the damage. 50+ MPH winds whiping through the canyons is probably won't end well for our blind.

No blinds on my place but theres plenty just of the fence lines, I may take my camera and hope for the best. We had allot of damage in town, tree's down and shingles every where, quite allot of damage to my roof.
Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.

I am hoping ours are still up. One in particular worries me, but it's got two deadman anchors and cables and ratchet straps... who knows.

We have a 6x8 thats five feet off the ground with cable tie downs. Its gone over once before, but that was before the tie downs. If its on the ground we will have to tear it apart and put it back together. Thats a big pita!

Ours will be aight....for whatever reason we've been getting strong wind storms the last few yrs. it took putting them all back up once to anchor them down and reinforce the rooves

My blinds will be alright, but I bet the roof over the BBQ Area is history. It was gettin' jickey last time I was there. Trees are probably damaged too.
Life is too short, as is. Don't chance it. Don't text and drive.

We had a 10' double tower on an exposed hillside hit by a microburst 1-1/2 years ago. Just destroyed it. Also took out some big trees in a creek bottom just to the east.

Blinds, windmill and feeders were all OK.

Hopefully every single one on the lease I left. The one I just joined doesn't matter, because I have none out there yet.

About 20 years ago I went to check on my blind and couldn't find it anywhere, but noticed some of the trees were pretty torn up. Found it a quarter-mile away, laying partially in a tank, mangled as it could be.
Had to be a tornado. The blind was made mostly out of steel and weighed in excess of 1,000 pounds.

All of ours are still good. Did loose some tin off a couple of the barns though.

Im more worried about trees or big limbs dropping on ours. I moved a blind just because of this. I've seen giant limbs and tree fall with no wind at all. With the drought we've had it's not uncommon for limbs to just break off.
Thursday at 12:45 PM #33 Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.
