Anyone ever seen one of these? I killed this axis Feb. 2012 North of Uvalde. First time i saw him i thought he had a tree limb stuck to his antlers, however i was wrong. Couldn't ever get a shot off. Went back couple weeks later and popped out again. Needless to say, he didn't get to eat much corn that day.

I haven't seen any stag up there...only aoudad, wt, occasional ibex, one elk and axis! He wasn't very tall, but a very unique deer. Thanks raw and duckhuntr

I have never seen one like that, very neat. Did you get that mounted?
If I put my wife in a high fence will her rack get bigger?

Sure, did. Shoulder mount with head turned. I am still in college so my dad mounted it in our game room back home. I'll take pictures when i make it down there next time.

Doesn't really look like an Axis in the head. Colors are strange and the shape of the nose looks a little different. Maybe it is just the angle.

They aren't very rare to find with extra points. We have multiple free-range axis that have more than the regular 3 points, caudauls, brows, and main beams

Since the original axis posted is so common on your place would you care to post some pics of some free range (or high fence, not like I care) 14 pt axis deer that have been shot? Thanks

We have seen multiple 4x4's but never anything over than that, nor had our taxidermist...I too would like to see pictures like this if you have any. Not that I care, but I don't think this is a very common deer.

Looks pretty typical to me with 3 extras. Still waiting to see pics of the mass amount of 14 pt axis that so commonly roam your place.
