I picked up a Bauer .25 on a trade last week. Its an interesting little gun. It has the factory plastic "pearl" grips. Does anyone know where I can get some checkered walnut grips (or any inexpensive wood grips) for it? I found that gunpartscorp.com has sold them in the past but are out of stock. Also, can anyone recommend a good pocket holster?

I don't want to start a debate about how you'd rather have a sharp stick than a .25 pistol. I just thought I'd see if anyone has any info for me. Thanks in advance.

If you know someone handy in the wood shop, you can make a set of wood grips for that guy in a jiffy.

Here is a set of Figured Black Walnut grips I made for my 1911

I have the exact same gun - my Dad has one as well. My Grandfather bought both together and I believe the serial #s are consecutive. Cool little gun.

Those are some sharp looking grips on that 1911. Care for another project? Haha

Thanks for the link, Scoutdog. They have wood Browning grips, but they want an arm and a leg for 'em! They also stock plastic colored grips that will fit the Bauer, so I'll keep that in mind.

TRY gunbroker.com they have parts but I am not sure what they would charge for those type. I have a couple SNS in that size and they shoot fine. a wood worker should be able to make you some.

If I was local, I'd invite you down to the shop. We could hammer a set out in no time.

If I lived closer I would absolutely take you up on that. Last night I came across an ad for a 1966 Baby Browning. I contacted the seller and was able to make a trade for it tonight!

Here is the Baby Browning next to the Bauer. I just think they're cool little guns.
