Rem788, There is no separate license or permit you have to ask for anymore, thus why they don't know what your talking about. It will print out with all the tags when you buy your regular license. this is from the TPWD website.

what now wait... so you mean we have to get tags to shoot teal now? i hunted the early season last year and i never bought them and the game warden never said anything to me.... so a duck stamp, hip certafied, hunter ed, migratory bird stamp and now teal stamps what the hech!

Call Austin TPWD and they will tell you what to do with teal tags and how to use them.

Guys I have searched the TPWD website and cannot find anything about mandatory teal tags. Is this for Cinamin teal only or for all teal? Where is the regulation on the site? Thanks, Paul

The tags are for all Teal. I moved here two years ago and TPWD almost hides the reg. Just don't get caught without it.
Retreivergamecalls typed it best, go to Academy and just tell them you need to get the Teal tags.
All new lic. and tags went on sale this morning.
And Mr Treebass, I am not a Cheep SOB, I'm just a native born Coon-Arse, so I will decide if I am going to participate in licensed hunts or not.

I got my new license earlier today and didnt ask about teal tags. After seeing this post i went back to the Academy but they said they didnt have any and to check one of the other stores. Luckily the other one I went to had some but I had to speak with the manager cuz the guys working the counter had no clue. Thanks again for the reminder.

I got my teal tag at walmart when i bought my new muffler bearings and headlight fluid. That place has everything.
I like spoonie, his humor is dryer than my duck lease.

I wonder when you will have to start buying tags for shovelors. Thats all Retrievergame calls shoots. Now is it true that if you have the tags you can shoot lead shot

You may have to ask for a manager. That was how I finally got mine at the fourth academy I went to. The regular sales people obviously don't keep up with what is going on.
