Hunt mainly? I know we all hunt water fowl in this section but do you als o split the time between all huntable game animals or strictly migratory birds?
Me just migratory birds unless my brother in laws parents are haveing problems with deer tearing up they're tree's.

I like to hunt anything. Earlier in the year, I had to kill a wild domestic animal (we won't get into what brand for the sake of some) that was killing some of our animals. When I came in the house I was so amped up I hag to sit down a while. I felt like I had just killed a deer. I meen I was PUMPED UP! This animal was very hard to outsmart. But what a challenge. I love the hunt. Don't care what it is. Beeing outside, and with good people, that's more important to me.

I used to hunt other species like deer, turkey, and quail but, the deer costs to much, the quail has all but disappeared, and the turkey (I just didnt like period). So I guess other than dove I am strictly waterfowl.

Mine is completely driven by the calendar/season and centered around ducks.

Sep - Oct: Dove, a good duck warm up.
Nov - Jan: Here Ducky Ducky Ducky!
Jan: Yes, I admit it, I go on cheap deer "meat hunts". I don't care about an expensive rack (well, not on deer anyways) - I just wanna put some meat in the freezer.
Feb: Conservation geese if I'm lucky enough to find 'em.
Apr: Turkey time.
May - Aug: FIIIIIIIISH! Any kind anywhere as long as there is a cold beer involved...

Use to hunt and fish everything under the sun. Now I am older and do not have as much free time, it's waterfowl and some deer and the odd fishing trip here and there. Also dove hunt more than your average Joe too. The older the kid o gets the less free time I have. Wife is very understanding when it comes to hunting and my not being around much in fall and winter. When Feb 1st comes around I am at home pretty much 24/7 after that.

I shoot the hell out of some clays in the summer...August in particular. Shot like 6 boxes of shells last night on a buddys land! Saw soooo many dove...they were teasing us.

Come Sept 1 I hit dove pretty hard for a few weeks, then grab a teal hunt or two. I think this October I'll probably not hunt too much other than a couple late season dove hunts...but I'm going to store up my kitchen passes for waterfowl season. Then it's ducks and geese.

I'll get invited to go on a deer hunt from time to time and also make an occational fishing trip. Did two bay fishing trips this last year and had a lot of fun on both those.

Next spring me and my pops are going on a guided turkey hunt...always wanted to go. Kind of seems like deer hunting in that it could be a bunch of just sitting around and waiting.

I'll be at Richland Chambers this weekend bassin' by day and catfishin' by night. Next week the kids will be at Grandma's so if the wind ain't too bad I plan on making a trip to Lavon for crappie/catfish and Lewisville for hybrids (and maybe black bass) during the week after work. If anyone is interested in fishing from a 1648 duck boat next week, which as y'all know can be a challenge, send me a PM.

Now I'll sit back and wait for somebody to get all pissy because I mentioned that there are fish in Lake Lavon...

No one will get mad about posting that a lake has fish only ducks.

Everything, but with the new pup, I'm going to be concentrating on what he can bring back to me this year.

I hunt everything. Only game I haven't targeted on purpose is geese but will someday. I get just as excited for a deer hunt as I do dove or duck or turkey. This Oct our hunt will include dove, quail, hogs and predators in 3 days. We normally are successful in all but have the bonus of quail opening that weekend this year. We were thinking of getting bows for the turkey that walk by while dove hunting. Too bad duck won't be open yet but plan to hit that in Nov or maybe Dec if they are stuck up north still. Throw a deer hunt or two in Dec. Duck in Jan. I love it all.

If it flies, it dies and what ever else might be in season...deer season, turkey season, fish season...you could call our freezer "Noahs Ark"

Dove as a warm-up to hunting that counts.
October bow hunting for deer and turkey.
November through January ducks and maybe one goose trip.
December pheasant.
February starts fishing through June.
Depressed for July and August.

Pretty much, maybe I need to dedicate March to doing my part to manage the hog population...

I pass up everything for a duck hunt but, do try to harvest a deer or 2 a year. Luckily, bow season ends when duck season starts. The summer sausage made with pork, venison, cheese, and japs is killer in the duck blind. Hogs are a good way to pass time in between seasons. Any hunt with a dog is a great experience!

I pretty much hunt birds, an occassional rabbit and/or squirrel. Been deer hunting a few times, it's not really my thing. I might do it just for the meat this season. I've always wanted to do a hog hunt and a predator hunt which I might do more of this year. I'd like to go on a turkey hunt as well.

Fish pretty much year round.

My "Passion" is duck hunting. Also enjoy the occasional goose hunt.

However, I also hunt deer some and usually squeeze in an occasional quail and/or pheasant hunt out west. I usually hit the dove field 5 or 6 times a season and that is pretty much it for dove for me. Enjoy dove hunting, but dove is more "shooting" than hunting. Enjoy it and look forward to it every year though.
