Was watching a hearing on gun control on TV yesterday. Hearing was chaired by none other than the guy who represents the murder capital of the United States, and represents the state with some of the strictest gun controls, Illinois...The Honorable Dick Durbin. Excuse me, but what credibility could he possibly have on this issue? Who thought of this? Next they'll choose Rand Paul to chair a hearing on increasing taxes and government spending...Or maybe Sen. Menendez can chair a hearing on government ethics...

But most of this is taken at face value. Few tend to look deeper and find facts like you posted.
