That was a sweet shooter.

My buyer remorse is an Academy 700 ADL Syn in 243 Win. It started out shooting patterns, like a shotgun.
Took action from stock and retightened. Took scope and mounts off, locktighted, all good.
50yds 4" groups, 100 yds 6-8" groups.

Took it to a Rem warranty repair and they kept it a couple of weeks. Best they could get was 3.5"-4.5".

Wrote Remmy a nice letter with 8x10 color glossy pictures.

Reply was, Rem does not have a accuracy guaranty and for a hunting rifle 3-4" was suitable.

Well, The Remmy stayed their and I took home a New Tikka Whitetail Hunter 243 Win and never looked back.

Oh I'd love to have it back, although it has led me to a Sig 226.
But for how long...?

What about the sig p238 was such a disappointment, if I may ask? And what year was it made?

Glock 17 Gen 4. Jam-o-matic! Managed to get it fixed and sold it to a friend, full disclosure. Will think long and hard before I ever buy another Glock.

Got caught up in the AR craze a year ago dropped a bunch of cash on an Armalite heavy barrel 5.56 with all the goodies. Shot it quite a bit and just couldn't get into it. Sold it and took a beating, should have waited to get rid of it I guess.

Did you do the free repair Glock offered? They fixed that issue pretty quickly.

Kel-Tec PLR-16

An AR pistol (PDW) with 30 rounds ... crappy accuracy and the energy of a 38 special.

Lew Horton S&W 29 snub nose - gorgeous but hurt to shoot

Taurus 617 - miserably worthless piece of unreliable crap

S&W 1006 - just couldn't get it to fit my hand

Ss/lam Ruger No. 1-B 243 - too heavy

Savage 223 Varmint - waaaaay too heavy

Freedom Arms 454 Casull - action locked up after 3rd shot

Kimber Ultra Ten II. I loved shooting it. It didn't love to be shot. FTE's and FTF's regularly. Kimber denied there was a problem. Got rid of it. Will never own another Kimber anything. To expensive a mistake to do twice.

Ordered a new ultra light arms in 25-06. Six months later a .30-06 came in with a scratched up ss barrel. I would of kept it, but not with the scratched up barrel. Sent it back, two months later got my .25-06. It would'nt eject unfired ammo. Bolt was rough for a custom rifle. Called the man and he offered me his 100% money back satisfaction gurantee. Got all my money back. From what I've read on the net, he suppose to have some nice ultra light accurate rifles. Got ahold of my first kimber Montana that would'nt shoot in .25-06 just before I ordered the Nula. Kimber fixed it, but it was to late as i figured I could be 1.5 months into a custom build. Neither went so well! Ugh, my luck.

I sent a Glock 30 to Robar back 2004...the Glock frames for the 45's are just too wide for my hands and i thought reducing the front and back just a shade would make this gun into the perfect carry weapon....i ended up getting their NP3 finish , beavertail , night sights , the whole works and end up spending close to a $1000 more on this gun....when i get it back it still feels thick in my hand when i fire it one handed...my gun-friends at the local gun store have a fun time making fun of the Robar Glock , names like the Rock(Robar Glock), the Flock(F##king Glock), or the B#ob Job(that name when i was explaining to a guy that all the work done on the gun was cosmetic and on the exterior and nothing was done to the internals for function) grin ....i still have this gun, maybe i need to trade it

Bought a Series 70 National Match Colt 1911 from a guy that I know is a race-gun shooter. Got it at a really good price, but it just would not function any more. No telling how many hundreds of thousands of rounds had been through it. I ended up parting it out, NM bbl, Novak Lo-Pro sights, etc, and trading the NM numbered frame straight across for a stainless target model 6" 686 Smith. I love the 686, the trigger is as good as if not better than any of my Pythons, but my how I wished that National Match 1911 would have worked out.

Only gun I've ever owned that I didn't like was a H&R handi rifle.

Shot good, but it just didn't suit me

I once had a Colt 1911 Commander that had feed problems.

After I took it to a well known local gunsmith,it wouldn't even feed hardball reliably. frown

Not mine, but I bought my Dad an HR Handi Rifle in 223 for Christmas once. That gun is good for deer hunting, but after a few shots, the barrel gets so warm, the groups look more like a shotgun pattern.

Sig 556R. Upper and lower fit so poorly the gun rattles when you pick it up. Sent it back to Sig and they said that's normal.

To add insult to injury, their customer service guys are snippy. Nothing like dropping $1200 on a firearm then being treated like you are an idiot.
