Hi all, new to the forum. I've been lurking a while looking at varmint calling info. Shot my first two coyote this last month which I was super excited about. We also do some beaver hunting at our ranch to keep them from clogging the drains on our lake damns. Never realized how big a beaver could get, the biggest was just under 90 lbs. Oh and beavers smell about as good as a hog when they expire smile

We also do a good bit of fishing out there. Best weekend for bass was 74 fish caught in 8 hours, I'm working on culling our lakes as they didn't get fished properly for the last 5 years. Dinks galore. we caught 42 in 2 hours this day, nothing over 1.5 lbs on this lake.

Also have a healthy supply of crappie

Yea, we used to swim in those lakes, not any more after pulling out that water rat.....I'm 6 foot FYI if that gives you any perspective on how big that thing was. Here are two others I've shot up there

I've had a few people try to convince me of that, the day one of them wants to clean one of those nasty things will be the day I try to eat one of them. To this day, I've had no takers smile

Figured as much, just thought i would cover my fur bearing species first. As for beaver slaying, I'm a sucker for a nice tender beaver........
