Guys,
I need some input and experience. My wife wants to get me a timber hunt this upcoming season for my 30th birthday. I have looked at lots of websites from guides all around the Stuttgart area and I notice that there is a large price difference in the outfitters with seemingly similar accomodations and services. Who should I use? Please post some of your experiences with some of the guides and prices if you remember them.
Thanks,

Keep in mind a lot, and I mean a lot of guides will say they have Green Timber and they do not. When asked they will say we will take you where the ducks are, and they are in the fields now. Very common practice there. Top of the line would be Slick's. I would call and talk with them first

I have hunted with Boondock's Lodge. Everything about it was first class, including meals and lodging. He has both timber and fields. He will tell you if they aren't in the timber.
I wanted the timber sooo bad, but he just said he wouldn't take me there, because they weren't there. I had a great rice field shoot.
I'm not as good as I once was. But, I'm as good once as I ever was.

If your headed to Stuttgart and looking for a adventure then don't mis hunting the metro aka Bayou Meto WMA, it's world famous green timber hunting, early morning shotgun start boat races and the awful crowds. Imagine 3 boats wide, rail to rail going wide a$$ open down a ditch meant for only one LMAO! CRAZY but you'll never forget it!
